Hamas: Board of Peace Statement Biased

Gaza Herald – Israeli occupation forces and settlers attacked olive harvesters in the West Bank on Thursday, injuring three civilians in Qarawat Bani Hassan near Salfeet. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed that its teams treated three injuries resulting from beatings by occupation troops and settlers in the town.

Settlers also targeted harvesters in the Wadi Abbas and Al-Wad Al-Qibli areas between Deir Istiya and Qarawat Bani Hassan northwest of Salfeet. They sprayed pepper gas at the farmers and assaulted them with sticks during the harvesting process.

Nazmi Al-Salman, a activist in the field of resisting settlement, stated that a large group of settlers attacked farmers while they were working in their lands. He noted that the attackers used pepper spray and beat the workers with wooden clubs to disperse them.

In another incident south of Nablus in Beitah, a citizen was injured after settlers attacked farmers. The assault resulted in bruises and wounds for the victim who was beaten by the group.

Settlers also raided farmers harvesting olives in the Ramin Plain east of Tulkarm. They attempted to steal harvesting equipment, olive fruits, and mats. Citizens resisted the theft, but one settler fired live ammunition into the air to terrorize the farmers and force them to leave their lands.

In the southern city of Hebron, settlers seized agricultural tractors and a vehicle belonging to the Masfer Yata Rural Municipality near Khirbet Al-Halawa. In Jericho, groups of settlers took control of eight homes in the city after surrounding them.

Previously, settlers attacked two homes in the town of Samastia northwest of Nablus. The Resistance Wall and Settlement Authority documented thirteen incidents of occupation and settler aggression targeting farmers and olive harvesters across the West Bank.
