Gaza Herald— A Palestinian couple and their two children were killed on Thursday when Israeli forces bombed a home in the Beit Lahia Project area of the northern Gaza Strip, amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire.
A local source said the bodies of the four victims were taken to Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City following the strike on the Ahmad family home. Several other Palestinians were injured, while others were reported missing beneath the rubble.
The victims were identified as Moamen Abdul Rahman Ahmad, his wife, Haneen Mousa Fares Saleh, and their two daughters, Lana, 12, and Bana, 8.
Israeli forces also carried out artillery shelling east of Gaza City, while Israeli warships opened heavy fire off the coast of Khan Younis and Israeli forces fired on areas east of central Gaza.
A critically injured Palestinian was taken to Nasser Medical Complex after an Israeli drone strike targeted Al-Tina Street, north of Khan Younis, in the Al-Mawasi area of Al-Qarara.
In northern Gaza, several Palestinians were injured as Israeli military vehicles and drones opened heavy fire on shelters and tents housing displaced families in Jabalia refugee camp.
Israeli forces also opened heavy fire across northern Gaza as artillery shelling struck areas east of Jabalia refugee camp. Israeli helicopters simultaneously opened fire northeast of the enclave.
Helicopter fire later resumed in northeastern Gaza alongside artillery shelling and intense Israeli tank fire east of Jabalia refugee camp. Israeli artillery continued to strike the eastern areas of the camp.
Around Al-Khulafa Mosque Square in Jabalia refugee camp, Israeli helicopters opened fire as artillery and heavy gunfire struck the area, with helicopters flying at low altitude overhead.
In Gaza City, Israeli artillery and tanks targeted eastern areas of the city with shelling and heavy gunfire.
In central Gaza, Israeli forces fired illumination flares east of Bureij refugee camp.
In southern Gaza, local sources reported heavy fire from Israeli military vehicles toward areas east of Hamad City, north of Khan Younis.
The attacks come as Israeli ceasefire violations continue across the Gaza Strip, including gunfire, artillery shelling and military flights. Large numbers of displaced Palestinians remain in areas close to confrontation lines, leaving civilians exposed to continuing danger despite the ceasefire.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, the Palestinian death toll since the beginning of Israel’s assault on October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,669, the majority of them women and children.
The number of Palestinians injured has reached 174,652, while a number of victims remain trapped beneath the rubble or lying in the streets, beyond the reach of ambulance and Civil Defense crews.
