Gaza Herald – Seven Palestinians, including two children and a woman, were killed and others wounded Tuesday as Israeli forces continued violations of the ceasefire across the Gaza Strip.
Local sources reported that Yusuf Salem, a member of Gaza’s civil defense teams, succumbed from wounds sustained in an Israeli strike near Abu Sharakh Roundabout in northern Gaza City. His death brought the number of Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks across Gaza since early Tuesday to seven.
Israeli forces carried out at least 22 new ceasefire violations during the day, according to local reports. The violations included artillery fire, shooting at civilians, incursions by military vehicles, the detention of fishermen and drone attacks.
An Israeli drone also struck the area around a civil defense facility in Al-Saftawi, northwest of Gaza City, while at least 10 explosions were reported after Israeli military drones bombed Al-Katiba area west of Gaza City.
In central Gaza, 73-year-old Talal Ismail Mahmoud Ziyara succumbed to wounds after Israeli forces shot him in the abdomen earlier Tuesday in the Al-Mashaila area south of Deir al-Balah. The child Israa al-Hassi was also killed by Israeli gunfire in the city, while several wounded Palestinians were taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital following Israeli military incursions east of Deir al-Balah.
Medical sources at Al-Shifa Hospital reported receiving three bodies, including those of two children and a woman, along with eight wounded Palestinians after Israeli drones targeted Al-Katiba area.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said the victims were killed after an Israeli special forces unit infiltrated the area in an apparent attempt to carry out a military operation, followed by intense Israeli airstrikes and gunfire.
The ministry said Gaza hospitals received six bodies over the previous 48 hours, including five Palestinians killed in new attacks and another who later succumbed to earlier wounds. Thirteen others were wounded. Several victims remained trapped beneath rubble or stranded on roads as overwhelmed ambulance and civil defense teams struggled to reach them.
Since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, 2025, at least 1,326 Palestinians have been killed and 4,398 wounded, while rescue teams have recovered 815 bodies, according to the Health Ministry.
The cumulative Palestinian death toll from Israel’s genocide on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has reached 73,462, with 174,509 Palestinians wounded.
The ministry also reported that the collapse of a building killed another Palestinian, bringing the number of victims linked to building collapses to 34. In the latest collapse, two children were killed and six Palestinians wounded.
For Palestinians across Gaza, the ceasefire has continued to offer little protection from Israeli military attacks. Repeated strikes, shootings and ground incursions are leaving civilians exposed to deadly attacks while much of the enclave remains buried under destruction and facing an escalating humanitarian crisis.
