Gaza Herald— At least 15 Palestinians were killed and 38 others injured in the Gaza Strip over the past 48 hours, Gaza’s Ministry of Health announced Monday, as Israeli attacks continue despite a ceasefire agreement that took effect more than a year ago.
In its latest statistical report, the ministry confirmed that hospitals across Gaza received the bodies of 15 Palestinians and treated 38 wounded people during the two days, bringing the number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire began on October 11, 2025, to 1,593.
The ministry reported that 5,748 Palestinians have been injured since the agreement took effect, while the bodies of 847 Palestinians have been recovered during the same period.
The latest figures underscore the continuing human cost of Israel’s war on Gaza, as Palestinians continue to be killed and injured while recovery teams search for victims buried beneath the rubble of destroyed buildings.
Gaza’s Death Toll Rises to 74,609
According to the Ministry of Health, the cumulative Palestinian death toll from Israel’s military assault on Gaza has reached 74,609, with 175,872 others injured since the beginning of the war.
The figures reflect the devastating scale of the human losses suffered by Palestinians in Gaza, where the consequences of Israel’s military operations continue to claim lives long after the announcement of the ceasefire.
More than a year after the agreement took effect, hospitals are still receiving casualties, while the recovery of bodies from beneath the rubble continues to add to the documented death toll.
UN Documents Continued Israeli Attacks Despite Ceasefire
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported on October 29 that Israeli airstrikes, shelling, and gunfire continued across the Gaza Strip.
The UN agency also documented ongoing Israeli military incursions and demolition operations near the so-called Yellow Line, the boundary marking areas of Israeli military deployment under the ceasefire arrangements.
The continued attacks and military activity have raised concerns about the safety of Palestinian civilians and the ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement.
Children and Women Among October’s Victims
During October, Gaza’s Ministry of Health documented 143 Palestinians killed, including 23 children, 11 women, and two elderly people.
Another 674 Palestinians were injured during the month, including 190 children, 129 women, and 32 elderly people.
According to the ministry’s October figures, the cumulative number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire began had reached 1,583, including 348 children, 154 women, and 50 elderly people.
The number of injured had reached 5,696, including 1,731 children, 966 women, and 226 elderly people.
Monday’s updated figures show that the number of recorded deaths and injuries has continued to rise.
Despite the ceasefire, Palestinian families across Gaza remain exposed to Israeli attacks, while thousands continue to live amid widespread destruction and the unresolved humanitarian consequences of the war.
The latest figures highlight a grim reality for Palestinians in Gaza: more than a year after the ceasefire was announced, the killing has not stopped, and the human toll continues to grow.
