Gaza Herald — A six-year-old Palestinian girl died Tuesday morning from injuries sustained after being shot by Israeli occupation forces in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis, southern Gaza, as Israeli forces continued violating the ceasefire agreement through artillery shelling and gunfire across the Strip.
Field sources identified the child as Tahani Mohammed Saeed Shalalfa, 6, who succumbed to wounds inflicted by Israeli gunfire in al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis.
Her death comes amid continued Israeli attacks on Palestinian civilians despite the ceasefire agreement remaining in effect.
In central Gaza, an Israeli tank fired an artillery shell at an area north of the Bureij refugee camp, while Israeli military vehicles opened fire toward the eastern outskirts of the Maghazi refugee camp.
In southern Gaza, Israeli military vehicles also unleashed heavy gunfire in the al-Alam and al-Shakoush areas west of Rafah, as violations of the ceasefire continued across multiple locations.
The latest attacks are part of ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement that took effect in October 2025.
On Monday, several areas across the Gaza Strip were subjected to Israeli artillery shelling, gunfire and airstrikes, resulting in Palestinian deaths and injuries.
Despite the ceasefire, Palestinians in Gaza continue to face deadly Israeli attacks, with children and other civilians remaining vulnerable to gunfire and bombardment.
