Palestinian Killed, Another Injured in Israeli Strike West of Gaza City

Gaza Herald – A Palestinian man was killed and another injured on Friday when an Israeli strike targeted a gathering of civilians near Ansar Junction southwest of Gaza City, amid continued Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian killed in the attack was identified as Ibrahim Munir al-Masri. Medical sources said his body was taken to Al-Shifa Hospital, while the wounded Palestinian was transferred to Saraya Field Hospital for treatment.

The attack came amid a series of Israeli airstrikes, artillery shelling, gunfire and demolition operations across several areas of the Gaza Strip from Thursday night into Friday.

In Khan Younis in southern Gaza, three Palestinians, including a girl and an elderly woman, were injured by Israeli gunfire.

An elderly Palestinian woman was injured on Street 5, while another Palestinian was wounded near Hamad City. The girl, Sahar al-Shawaf, was also injured amid heavy Israeli gunfire targeting the area east of Hamad City.

Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire toward residential areas and tents sheltering displaced Palestinians in northern, eastern and southern Khan Younis, while Israeli forces also carried out demolition operations in parts of the southern Gaza Strip.

Elsewhere, Israeli artillery shelled areas in central Gaza, while Israeli forces continued demolition operations and attacks in eastern Gaza City.

Israeli reconnaissance aircraft also remained in the skies over the Strip as attacks continued across several areas.

The latest killing came amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire, with Palestinian health authorities reporting mounting deaths and injuries from Israeli attacks since the agreement took effect in October 2025.
