Gaza Herald – Several citizens sustained injuries on Monday following shelling and gunfire that targeted displacement tents across multiple areas in the Gaza Strip. The incidents occurred amidst continued military operations by Israeli forces in various regions of the territory.
A correspondent for Wafa News Agency reported that three individuals were wounded by fire from Israeli vehicles inside and around the city of Hamad, located north of Khan Younis. The attacks caused significant harm to residents seeking shelter in the area.
The same correspondent noted that two other citizens were injured after Israeli artillery targeted tents belonging to displaced persons in the Al-Akharis neighborhood within the Al-Amal district, situated west of the city. This incident added to the growing number of casualties in southern Gaza.
In the central part of the strip, a woman and a child were injured when occupation vehicles opened fire on displacement tents along Salah al-Din Street, which lies between the Burij and Maghazi refugee camps. The direct targeting of these shelters resulted in immediate injuries to vulnerable groups.
Additionally, citizens were injured in a house fire at the Abu Russ family residence in Block 12, east of Burij camp in central Gaza. The blaze was ignited after an Israeli artillery shell struck the home directly, causing structural damage and endangering occupants.
Heavy artillery shelling was also witnessed in the eastern areas of Burij camp. Meanwhile, in Khan Younis, artillery strikes hit the eastern and southern parts of the city, accompanied by intense gunfire directed at tents housing displaced families.
Further south, heavy fire from Israeli tanks was recorded in the Shukush area north of Rafah, specifically targeting tents in the Fash Farsh zone near the banks of the Khan Younis river. These actions contributed to the escalating violence in the region.
Low-flying Israeli drones were observed hovering over the skies of southern Gaza during the day. In Gaza City, artillery shells targeted northern districts while drones circled overhead, adding to the widespread fear among residents.
The Israeli army continues its violations across different zones of the strip, involving both artillery bombardments and direct shooting against civilians and displaced populations. These actions have led to numerous injuries and property destruction throughout the day.
