Gaza Herald – Two Palestinians, including a child, were killed Thursday in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, while several others were wounded as Israeli forces opened fire on civilians in the area.
Local sources said the two Palestinians were killed when Israeli military vehicles opened fire on a group of civilians in Beit Lahia. Several others were wounded by Israeli gunfire near Khalifa School in the Beit Lahia Project area and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Israeli military vehicles also advanced into the area surrounding Al-Ribat Mosque in the Beit Lahia Project amid heavy gunfire near Khalifa School.
Israeli forces also opened fire toward Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, prompting medical teams to begin evacuating the facility after it came under direct Israeli fire, according to local reports.
The killings came as Israeli forces continued to violate the ceasefire across the Gaza Strip through gunfire, shelling and military incursions, leaving Palestinian civilians exposed to renewed attacks despite the truce.
The attacks in Beit Lahia have also raised renewed concerns over the safety of Gaza’s remaining medical facilities, which continue to operate under extremely dangerous conditions amid Israeli military attacks and widespread destruction.
