Gaza Herald – Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye, acting as mediators, have issued a joint statement condemning Israel’s continued violations in the Gaza Strip, particularly the targeting of healthcare facilities and infrastructure and the rising civilian death toll, including women and children.
The three countries described the attacks as a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, stressing that Israel must fully comply with its legal obligations and honor all commitments under the ceasefire agreement.
The mediators warned that the ongoing violations constitute a breach of the ceasefire and threaten efforts to implement its second phase, particularly after Hamas and other Palestinian factions announced their acceptance of the agreed roadmap, including provisions related to the limitation of weapons.
According to the statement, the continued Israeli attacks risk derailing de-escalation efforts and further worsening the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
The mediators called for:
* Full protection of civilians, healthcare facilities, and humanitarian workers.
* Unhindered access for humanitarian aid and medical supplies throughout Gaza.
* Israel to fulfill all obligations under international law and the ceasefire agreement.
They also urged the international community to assume its responsibilities by exerting the necessary pressure on Israel to ensure compliance with the agreement and prevent the collapse of ongoing diplomatic efforts.
The statement reaffirmed support for completing the implementation of the peace roadmap, which U.S. President Donald Trump previously said was a “historic agreement,” with the ultimate goal of achieving a sustainable de-escalation, a permanent ceasefire, and an end to the Israeli genocide in Gaza.
