Gaza Herald – Hamas announced on Tuesday that its negotiating delegation is traveling to Cairo to continue discussions on implementing the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
In a statement, the movement said the delegation is scheduled to meet with Egyptian officials and mediators from Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye, as well as representatives of Palestinian factions, to discuss consolidating the ceasefire and ensuring implementation of commitments reached during the Sharm El Sheikh negotiations.
According to Hamas, the talks will focus on humanitarian conditions in Gaza and advancing to the second phase of the framework, including provisions outlined in the agreement and the plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump.
The announcement comes as Israeli forces continue attacking Gaza despite the ceasefire, with ongoing airstrikes, artillery shelling, demolitions inside the so-called “Yellow Line” buffer zone, and continued restrictions on the movement of humanitarian aid, commercial goods, and medical travel.
