Gaza Herald – One Palestinian was killed and several others were injured on Sunday as Israeli forces continued violating the Gaza ceasefire agreement through artillery shelling, live fire, and detonations across the Strip, amid an ongoing humanitarian crisis.
Suleiman Taysir Sahmoud succumbed to injuries sustained in a direct Israeli strike near Street 5 in Khan Younis on Saturday afternoon.
A young girl was also wounded after Israeli forces opened fire near the Jabalia Martyrs Medical Center in northern Gaza.
Israeli artillery shelled eastern Al-Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City, while Israeli forces carried out detonations and fired illumination flares over northern Gaza.
Israeli military vehicles also opened fire east of Deir al-Balah, as artillery targeted areas northeast of Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
In southern Gaza, Israeli artillery shelled areas northwest of Rafah, continuing attacks despite the ceasefire agreement.
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, 1,197 Palestinians have been killed and 3,853 injured since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, in addition to 883 bodies recovered from beneath the rubble.
The ministry added that the overall death toll since October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,323 Palestinians killed and 173,961 injured.
