Palestinian Resistance Security Warns of Drug Smuggling Network Linked to Israel in Gaza

Gaza Herald – Palestinian Al-Hares Platform, affiliated with Gaza’s Resistance Security, has warned of attempts by groups linked to Israeli occupation forces to spread narcotics and other suspicious substances in the Gaza Strip as part of efforts to undermine the enclave’s internal stability.

In a statement released Wednesday, the platform said the activities of these groups extend beyond security-related operations to include the distribution of drugs aimed at targeting young Palestinians and weakening Gaza’s social fabric.

According to the statement, exploiting the humanitarian crisis to introduce narcotics into Gaza constitutes “a crime against the Palestinian people” and reflects attempts to sow disorder and destabilize the community from within.

The platform urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspected drug trafficking or suspicious activity through its official reporting channels, stressing that protecting society is a shared responsibility.

It added that resisting efforts to undermine the Palestinian community begins with public awareness and rejecting anything that threatens public security and the future of younger generations.

The warning follows an earlier announcement by a security source in Gaza, who said authorities had thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics through a route connected to collaborators with Israeli occupation forces. The source said the drugs were confiscated and suspects detained pending legal action.
