Hamas Urges International Stabilization Force to Begin Implementing Gaza Ceasefire Plan

Gaza Herald – The Hamas Movement has called on the newly announced International Stabilization Force to begin implementing the terms of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, saying the deployment should mark the start of practical measures to end the war and address the humanitarian crisis in the enclave.

In a statement issued Tuesday, Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem expressed hope that the arrival of the force would serve as a first step toward carrying out its stated mission of separating civilians in Gaza from Israeli attacks and preventing further ceasefire violations.

Qassem said the Peace Council should immediately begin implementing the agreed ceasefire framework, including facilitating the entry of the national committee designated to administer Gaza, ensuring meaningful humanitarian relief, securing Israel’s withdrawal from the territory, and launching a comprehensive reconstruction process.

He stressed that the reconstruction is a fundamental right for all Palestinians across the Gaza Strip.

The statement came after vehicles and logistical equipment belonging to the International Stabilization Force arrived as part of U.S. President Donald Trump’s ceasefire initiative for Gaza.

The Peace Council released images showing the arrival of vehicles and support equipment for the multinational force, following Israeli media reports last week that advance contingents from four participating countries had already reached Israel.

According to previous reports by Israeli media, the force has begun establishing a logistics support center near the Kerem Shalom Crossing on Gaza’s southern border with Egypt.

Israel has also reportedly constructed a military base near Kibbutz Re’im, approximately six kilometers east of central Gaza, with a capacity for up to 10,000 personnel. The facility is expected to coordinate the stabilization force’s attacks and serve as an alternative command center supporting ceasefire monitoring activities.
