Gaza Herald – A Palestinian woman and her young daughter were killed and several other civilians injured after an Israeli airstrike targeted tents sheltering displaced families in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis, southern Gaza, early Tuesday.
Local sources identified the victims as Diana Mohammed Salem Abu Daraz and her daughter, Sawar Thaer Abu Daraz. The strike hit an area hosting makeshift tents for displaced civilians, igniting a fire that spread through the camp and caused extensive damage to the shelters.
The attack comes as Israeli forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement that took effect on October 10, 2025, under Arab and U.S. mediation.
On Monday alone, five Palestinians, including a child, were killed during a series of Israeli attacks. According to local reports, at least 11 ceasefire violations were recorded, including live fire, artillery shelling, and the demolition of residential buildings in Gaza City and southern parts of the enclave.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the death toll since the ceasefire began has risen to 1,045 Palestinians killed and 3,380 injured.
The ministry added that the cumulative toll from IsraelI genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, has reached 73,058 killed and 173,488 injured.
