Three Killed, Five Injured in Gaza Within 24 Hours as Death Toll Continues to Rise

Gaza Herald – The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday that three Palestinians were killed and five others injured in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours.

The ministry noted that rescue and civil defense teams remain unable to reach a number of victims trapped beneath the rubble or lying in inaccessible areas, preventing a full assessment of casualties.

According to the ministry, the number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire came into effect on October 10 has risen to 981, while 3,104 others have been injured. Rescue teams have also recovered 783 bodies from beneath destroyed buildings during the same period.

The ministry’s latest cumulative figures show that the overall toll of Israel’s genocide on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has reached 72,991 killed and 173,212 injuries.

Health officials emphasized that these figures are likely to increase, as many victims remain trapped under collapsed structures and in areas that emergency crews are unable to access due to ongoing challenges on the ground. Search and recovery operations continue under difficult conditions across the Gaza Strip.
