Gaza Herald- Two civilians were killed today, Monday, by Israeli occupation forces’ fire in Mawasi Rafah and Khan Younis, while another succumbed to his injuries in Khan Younis, hours after three civilians were killed in an Israeli strike in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
Our correspondent reported that the young man Mahmoud Suleiman al-Faqaawi was killed as a result of Israeli forces targeting civilians near Bani Suheila roundabout in Khan Younis shortly before noon today.
Earlier this morning, a local source reported that a civilian was killed by fire from occupation military vehicles, while Abdullah al-Najjar died of wounds he had sustained days earlier from Israeli fire in Qizan al-Najjar, south of Khan Younis.
At dawn on Monday, three civilians were killed and others injured following an Israeli attack in the city of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.
Medical sources reported that three civilians were killed and others injured when an Israeli drone targeted a group of civilians near Site 14, close to al-Mazra’a School in Deir al-Balah.
The sources stated that the victims were: Mohammed Younis al-Adini (23), Al-Muntasir Billah Izz al-Din Bashir (23), and Mohammed Hassan Abu al-Rous (32).
In the same context, four Palestinians were injured by Israeli army gunfire near al-Halabi roundabout in Jabalia, in the northern Gaza Strip.
Israeli artillery also shelled the al-Shakoush area west of Rafah in southern Gaza, the eastern areas of al-Tuffah neighborhood northeast of Gaza City, and the eastern areas of Khan Younis in the south of the Strip.
Yesterday, local sources reported that Yahya Saeed Yahya al-Agha (48) was killed by Israeli fire near the junction of Street 5 and Salah al-Din Street in Khan Younis.
Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip for the 184th consecutive day by targeting shelters and gatherings of displaced persons in various areas, using artillery shelling, drones, and live fire.
Alongside the field escalation, the humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate, with tighter restrictions on the entry of supplies, amid accusations that Israel is pursuing a policy of “engineered starvation” by controlling the flow of goods and failing to adhere to the humanitarian protocol, which stipulates the entry of 600 aid trucks daily.
According to data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the number of fatalities since the ceasefire began on 10 October has risen to 756, in addition to 2,100 injuries, alongside 760 recorded cases of bodies being recovered.
The overall toll since 7 October 2023 has reached approximately 72,335 killed and 172,202 injured, reflecting the high human cost of the ongoing war on the Gaza Strip.
