8 Palestinians Killed and Several Injured in Israeli Violations of Gaza Ceasefire

Gaza Herald – Eight Palestinians were killed and several others injured during the past 24 hours as Israeli forces continued violations of the ceasefire across different areas of the Gaza Strip, now in its 179th day.

According to local sources, the Israeli attacks resulted in multiple casualties across Gaza and Khan Younis. In central Gaza, Palestinian citizen Abdul Rahman Al-Khudari was killed, and two others were injured after Israeli forces targeted the area surrounding Al-Jazeera Club.

Earlier, Jamal Mushtaha was killed while attempting to check on his home on the outskirts of the Shuja’iyyat neighborhood east of Gaza City. Israeli artillery also fired four howitzer shells at eastern areas of the Zeitoun neighborhood early in the morning.

In southern Gaza, two Palestinians were killed and several others injured in Khan Younis as Israeli forces continued to breach the ceasefire. Medical sources confirmed that Ziad Al-Nabahen, a man with disabilities, was shot and killed in Al-Limon area south of Khan Younis.

Meanwhile, ambulance crews recovered the body of Musa Nael Musa Abu Amer from Al-Qalaa Towers in southern Khan Younis. Eleven people were also wounded by Israeli gunfire near displaced Palestinians’ tents northwest of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

In another incident, a four-year-old child Arkan Mohammed Khalil Barbak was injured by artillery shrapnel near Abu Hamid roundabout in central Khan Younis. Israeli military vehicles also opened fire toward areas northeast of Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, hospitals received four bodies and five injured civilians over the past 24 hours. Since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11, a total of 716 Palestinians have been killed and 1,968 injured, while the bodies of 759 victims have been recovered.

The cumulative death toll since the start of the Israeli genocide on October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,292 Palestinians killed and 172,073 wounded, according to health authorities.
