Gaza Herald- The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) warned on Saturday that the humanitarian situation in Gaza and Sudan has reached an extremely dire level, stating that children are facing life-threatening conditions due to severe shortages of food and safe drinking water.
UNICEF stated that children in Gaza are still enduring airstrikes and facing a complete breakdown of health, water, and education services, turning daily survival into a relentless struggle.
According to UNICEF’s reports, the international community has failed to protect vulnerable populations, as war, hunger, and disease create deadly conditions.
UNICEF has reiterated its appeal to end hostilities and establish safe corridors to deliver life-saving aid before it’s too late in the hardest-hit areas.
UNICEF urgently urges all parties to uphold their obligations under international law by taking immediate actions to ensure access to essential services and to allow unhindered humanitarian aid to reach Gaza through multiple crossings.
