Gaza Herald- Two Palestinians were killed and others wounded early Friday in an Israeli airstrike on Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, as Israel continues to violate the ceasefire for the 111th consecutive day.
Gaza Herald correspondent confirmed that Waleed Hassan Darwish and Yasser Mohammed Abu Shahada were killed when Israeli warplanes struck a gathering of civilians in Al-Maghazi Camp.
In addition, Israeli warships chased Palestinian fishing boats and opened fire off the shores of Gaza City.
Israeli helicopters also fired on Rafah, launching several airstrikes on the city.
The Israeli army claimed it spotted eight armed individuals emerging from a tunnel in Rafah, alleging that three were killed and others were pursued and targeted, though no confirmation was provided by Palestinian sources.
Meanwhile, Israeli ground forces fired on eastern Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
On Thursday, three more Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire—two in Khan Younis and one in Al-Maghazi Camp.
The Israeli military also carried out demolitions of residential buildings in Rafah Thursday evening, while tanks opened heavy fire near the Morag Axis north of Rafah, and toward areas east of Khan Younis and eastern Gaza City.
Since the start of the ceasefire agreement, repeated Israeli violations have resulted in the deaths of 513 Palestinians and injuries to 1,356 others.
Since the beginning of the genocidal war on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed over 71,667 Palestinians and wounded more than 171,343, alongside the massive destruction of approximately 90% of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure. The United Nations estimates the cost of reconstruction at $70 billion.
