Gaza Herald – Israeli forces continued airstrikes, artillery shelling, drone attacks, and machine-gun fire across Gaza, violating the fragile ceasefire. Three Palestinians were killed Saturday, including two children, while others were wounded in multiple incidents.
Medical sources confirmed the killing of two children from al-Zawara’a family, struck near Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia by an Israeli drone strike. Another young man, Nour Farid Abu Sitta, 26, was killed in Qizan al-Najjar south of Khan Younis.
Since the ceasefire began on October 11, 2025, Israeli attacks have claimed 481 lives and left 1,313 injured, with 713 bodies recovered. Cumulative casualties since the October 7, 2023, onset of Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza now total 71,654 dead and 171,391 wounded, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.
Humanitarian conditions in the enclave remain dire. Families shelter in fragile tents, exposed to cold, rain, and lacking basic necessities. Winter-related deaths have risen to ten, including a three-month-old infant who succumbed to extreme cold.
US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner arrived in Israel for talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, focusing on Gaza, the second phase of the ceasefire, and reopening the Rafah crossing under the newly formed “National Committee for Sector Management” and Peace Council.
