Gaza Herald – Gaza’s Government Media Office said 21 Palestinians have died from extreme cold since the start of Israel’s genocide, warning that incoming winter depressions could trigger a far deadlier humanitarian catastrophe.
Officials said all recorded deaths occurred among forcibly displaced families living in makeshift camps, noting that 18 of the victims were children, exposing the lethal consequences of displacement, siege, and the collapse of basic shelter and heating.
Since the beginning of winter alone, four additional deaths were documented as families remained without safe housing, heating supplies, adequate clothing, or sufficient humanitarian aid, amid continued restrictions on relief entry.
The media office held Israel fully responsible, describing the deaths as part of a policy of slow killing through deprivation, and urged the UN and international agencies to act immediately to provide safe shelters, heating materials, and unrestricted humanitarian access before further loss of life occurs.
