Israel Expands “Yellow Line” in Al-Tuffah Ahead of House Demolitions

Gaza Herald – Israeli occupation forces removed the “yellow line” in Gaza’s Al-Tuffah neighborhood on Thursday, signaling preparations for explosive demolitions of residential blocks. The move followed a series of ceasefire violations and reflected Israel’s ongoing policy of home destruction in the Strip.

The military issued new evacuation orders, forcing hundreds of families to flee their homes as the so-called “yellow cubes” were extended over 100 meters deeper into the neighborhood, spanning more than 300 meters in width. The expansion brought Israeli control close to Salah al-Din Street, threatening remaining residential areas.

Locals reported that armored vehicles installed concrete blocks to enforce military positions and expand the buffer zone, accompanied by unannounced evacuation orders and on-the-ground threats. The advance caused widespread fear and displacement among residents of eastern Al-Tuffah.

This latest expansion marks another episode in Israel’s repeated enlargement of the “yellow line” since the ceasefire began on October 10, 2025, intensifying the humanitarian crisis and signaling intentions to maintain a permanent security zone while pushing Palestinians further from their homes.
