Gaza Herald- Civil defense teams recovered on Thursday 14 bodies that had been trapped under the rubble following Israeli bombardment northwest of Khan Younis city in the southern Gaza Strip and buried them in public cemeteries.
The Civil Defense said in a press release that its teams worked for hours to remove the rubble and hand over the recovered bodies to forensic authorities, despite the immense challenges posed by the widespread destruction caused by Israeli airstrikes.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has carried out systematic and barbaric attacks against Palestinians in Gaza, including starvation, widespread destruction, and forced displacement, in blatant disregard of the orders of the International Court of Justice and repeated calls from the international community. These actions constitute serious violations of international law and humanitarian principles.
The ongoing genocide has caused over 238,000 casualties, predominantly children and women, and more than 9,000 people remain missing. Hundreds of thousands have been displaced, while famine has claimed numerous lives, including those of children, and extensive destruction has devastated the affected areas.
