Gaza Herald – The Gaza Health Directorate warned that roughly 320,000 children under five were at risk of acute malnutrition due to the ongoing Israeli blockade. The situation was described as critical, with families struggling to secure adequate food and basic nutrition.
A shortage of essential medicines worsened the crisis. The Director General of Pharmacy at the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that more than 62 percent of necessary medications were unavailable, leaving primary healthcare facilities unable to meet the needs of roughly 250,000 patients.
Officials said the combination of food scarcity and medicine shortages created a humanitarian emergency, putting the youngest and most vulnerable at extreme risk. They called for immediate intervention to prevent further deterioration.
