Gaza Death Toll Climbs as Hospitals Report New Casualties

Gaza Herald – Gaza’s Health Ministry said hospitals across the Strip received 12 martyrs and seven wounded over the past 48 hours, including four newly killed victims, as Israeli attacks and their aftermath continued to claim civilian lives despite the ceasefire.

Since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, 2025, health officials reported at least 405 Palestinians killed, 1,115 injured, and 649 bodies recovered from under the rubble, reflecting the ongoing human cost of Israeli occupation violations.

The cumulative toll since the start of Israel’s genocide on Gaza in October 2023 rose to 70,937 killed and 171,192 wounded, according to official health figures, underscoring the scale of devastation inflicted on the besieged enclave.

The ministry also confirmed the death of four Palestinians after a building collapse caused by severe weather and war-damaged structures, bringing the total number of victims killed by collapsing buildings during the recent cold wave to 15, amid continued restrictions on reconstruction and safe housing.
