Doctors Without Borders Warn Israeli Rules Threaten Gaza Lifesaving Aid

Gaza Herald – Doctors Without Borders said new Israeli registration rules for international NGOs placed humanitarian operations in Gaza at grave risk, warning that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians could be cut off from lifesaving medical care by 2026.

In a report released Monday, the organization said the new requirements threatened to revoke NGO registrations starting January 1, a move that would prevent groups including Doctors Without Borders from delivering essential health services in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

The medical group warned that amid the near-collapse of Gaza’s health system under Israeli occupation, restricting independent humanitarian organizations would amount to a humanitarian catastrophe, stressing that an already constrained aid response could not withstand further dismantling.
