Gaza Herald – Gaza Municipality reported that the Israeli occupation has destroyed 72 water wells, 150,000 meters of water pipelines, and four major water reservoirs during the ongoing genocide, crippling the city’s ability to provide safe water to civilians.
The municipality warned that this systematic destruction has triggered a severe thirst catastrophe, accelerating the collapse of public health and creating grave environmental dangers, as hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are left without reliable access to clean water.
Officials stressed that the deliberate targeting of water infrastructure is part of the broader genocide carried out by the Israeli occupation, deliberately inflicting deadly living conditions on Gaza’s population.
