Gaza Herald- In a grim escalation early Saturday, Israeli fighter jets pounded multiple areas across the eastern Gaza Strip with intense air raids, artillery shelling, and relentless gunfire. The attacks centered around the so-called “yellow line” buffer zone, raising alarm over ongoing violations of the declared ceasefire.
Local medical sources reported civilian injuries in northern Gaza as Israeli forces razed infrastructure in the Sheikh Zayed area. Eastern Gaza City, Khan Yunis, Rafah, and the Maghazi refugee camp also came under bombardment.
These strikes are part of a pattern of continued aggression despite international calls for calm. The latest wave of destruction comes with a heavy human toll: since the start of the ceasefire on October 10, at least 369 Palestinians, mostly children, women, and the elderly, have been killed, and over 920 injured, many with life-altering wounds.
As bombardments persist and homes are reduced to rubble, the so-called ceasefire reveals itself as anything but peace.
