Gaza Herald_ In the wake of escalating Israeli attempts to destabilize Gaza’s internal front, the Ministry of Interior in the Gaza Strip has issued a firm and uncompromising message following the killing of Yasser Abu Shabab, describing his fate as the inevitable end awaiting anyone who chooses collaboration with the occupying power. The ministry emphasized that despite Israel’s efforts to sow division and create internal chaos through groups it forms and protects, the Palestinian social fabric remains
The Gaza Interior Ministry said in a statement to Al Jazeera that the killing of Yasser Abu Shabab represents what it described as “the inevitable fate of every traitor who chooses to submit to the will of the occupation.” The ministry stressed that the protection provided by Israel to those it described as collaborators “will not last long.”
The ministry added that the occupation has failed to undermine the unity of the Palestinian people or to fracture their national cohesion. It said the “terror gangs” formed by Israel to destabilize Gaza’s internal front remain isolated and will ultimately face extinction.
The Interior Ministry called on all individuals involved with these groups to immediately turn themselves in to the security services, explaining that those who do so will have their cases handled in a way that allows for reduced judicial measures.
The ministry expressed appreciation for the stance taken by Palestinian families and clans who, it said, have withdrawn their protection from those involved with the groups established by the occupation. This position, the ministry added, strengthens efforts to safeguard the internal front within the Gaza Strip.
