Israeli Strikes Pound Eastern Gaza as Ceasefire Violations Hit Day 54

Gaza Herald – Israeli occupation army continued its breaches of the ceasefire for the 54th consecutive day on Wednesday, launching new waves of air strikes, artillery fire, and home demolitions across eastern Gaza.

Pre-dawn air raids hit inside the so-called yellow line east of Khan Younis, with heavy explosions shaking the area and thick smoke rising over residential blocks. Tanks simultaneously opened fire while artillery units shelled multiple points in the city’s east.

Israeli forces also detonated residential buildings in the Tuffah neighborhood inside the yellow-line zone, expanding demolitions deeper into civilian areas already devastated by the two-year genocide.

Since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, Israel has killed 361 Palestinians, the majority of women, children, and elderly, and injured 903 more, according to Gaza’s government media office. The office says the continuing assaults constitute systematic violations of international humanitarian law and expose the ceasefire as effectively nonexistent on the ground.
