5 Killed as Israeli Forces Target Vehicle in Gaza City

Gaza Herald- Five Palestinians were killed and several others injured on Saturday afternoon when Israeli drones targeted a vehicle in Gaza City, marking yet another breach of the ceasefire.

According to local media sources, the drone strike hit a car near Abbas Junction in western Gaza, causing multiple fatalities and injuries.

Earlier in the day, three Palestinians were wounded by Israeli gunfire in central and northern Gaza, and the body of a martyr was recovered, amid ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement.

Local sources reported that two individuals were injured by Israeli army fire east of Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, outside the “yellow line.”

Medical sources at Al-Shifa Medical Complex also confirmed another injury behind the yellow line, east of Jabalia in northern Gaza.

Since the ceasefire was announced on October 10, Israeli forces have killed 323 Palestinians and injured 788 others in repeated attacks. The overall toll of Israel’s assault since October 7, 2023, has now reached 69,738 killed and 170,863 injured, the vast majority of whom are civilians.

In response, Hamas stated that the Israeli escalation puts the onus on mediators and the U.S. administration to rein in attempts to undermine the ceasefire in Gaza.
