Israel Escalates Attacks Across Gaza Despite Ceasefire, Killing Palestinian Citizen

Gaza Herald – Israel carried out a wave of assaults across the Gaza Strip early on Monday, killing a Palestinian civilian in Beit Lahiya after an Israeli drone opened fire directly on a group of residents in the al-Atatra area.

The attack came alongside artillery shelling, drone fire, and the demolition of homes across eastern Gaza, marking yet another day of systematic ceasefire violations.

In eastern Khan Younis, Israeli forces launched heavy artillery barrages throughout the morning, following similar strikes at dawn. Warplanes also executed at least three air raids on the city’s eastern neighborhoods, while Israeli bulldozers and explosives crews demolished multiple residential buildings in both Khan Younis and eastern Gaza City.

Earlier, another Israeli attack killed a Palestinian civilian and wounded several others in al-Shaaf area of al-Tuffah, northeast Gaza City. And today, three Palestinians, including a child, were wounded when an Israeli quadcopter drone dropped a grenade on a group of civilians in al-Shujaiya and al-Zaytoun, continuing Israel’s pattern of targeting crowded residential zones.

Since the ceasefire took effect on 10 October 2025, Israel has killed 266 Palestinians, wounded 635, and 548 bodies have been recovered from under the rubble, all part of an ongoing genocide that has killed 69,483 Palestinians and injured 170,706 since October 2023.
