Gaza Herald – Satellite images analyzed by the BBC reveal that Israel has demolished more than 1,500 buildings in areas under its control in Gaza since the ceasefire began on October 10, 2025. Entire neighborhoods in eastern Gaza City, Jabalia, Khan Younis, and Rafah were leveled in less than a month, despite the truce.
Experts say the systematic destruction, captured by high-resolution satellite imagery, may constitute a direct violation of the U.S.-, Egyptian-, Qatari-, and Turkish-brokered ceasefire deal. The actual number of demolished buildings is likely far higher, as some areas remain outside the scope of available satellite coverage.
Analysts warn that this deliberate leveling of Gaza’s urban landscape represents a continuation of Israel’s genocidal policy under the guise of “security control,” ensuring that even in ceasefire, Gaza is left in ruins rather than recovery.
