Gaza Herald – Israel continues to deny international journalists free access to the Gaza Strip, controlling every entry point and limiting reporting to carefully orchestrated areas. A recent hearing before Israel’s highest court over a Foreign Press Association (FPA) request to enter Gaza granted the Israeli government 30 more days to clarify its stance.
The FPA expressed outrage, accusing Israel of deliberate delays while Palestinian journalists risk their lives reporting from the ground. Since the genocidal war began in October 2023, over 200 Palestinian reporters have been killed by Israeli forces, making this the deadliest war for journalists in recorded history.
Foreign coverage remains severely restricted, leaving the world dependent on Palestinian reporters’ firsthand accounts, who continue to document the atrocities despite the extreme danger and ongoing obstruction by Israeli authorities.
