Israeli Strikes Kill 38 Palestinians in Gaza Since Ceasefire

GazaHerald – The Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported that 38 Palestinians have been killed in the Strip since the ceasefire agreement came into effect two weeks ago. Israel is still attacking civilian areas, which raises concerns about violations of the tenuous ceasefire.

A particularly horrific incident occurred in the Zeitoun neighborhood east of Gaza City, where the Israeli military targeted a civilian vehicle carrying 11 members of the Shaaban family, including 7 children and 2 women, according to Gaza’s Civil Defense.

“A new massacre was committed against the Shaaban family,” a Civil Defense spokesperson said. “The vehicle was advancing east of the city and crossed the so-called ‘yellow line.’

It would have been possible to warn them or handle the situation without causing deaths. What happened confirms that the occupation remains thirsty for blood and insists on committing crimes against innocent civilians.”

The vehicle was struck near Kuwait Roundabout on Salah al-Din Street as the displaced family returned to check on homes they had been forced to leave during the war. Civil Defense crews faced major difficulties transporting the injured due to ongoing shelling and continued targeting of civilians by Israeli forces.

The escalation comes amid reports of intermittent Israeli shelling across several parts of Gaza, despite the ongoing ceasefire between Palestinian resistance groups and Israeli forces.

According to the Gaza Center for Human Rights, 43 ceasefire violations by the Israeli army have been recorded since the agreement was enacted. During the same period, the Gaza Ministry of Health reported at least 38 Palestinians killed and 147 others injured, highlighting the continued toll on civilians.
