Israel Defies Ceasefire Calls with 230 Strikes on Gaza, Killing 118 Palestinians

Gaza Herald – For the fourth consecutive day, the Israeli occupation has continued its genocidal assault on the Gaza Strip, defying international and U.S. ceasefire calls.

Between October 4 and October 7, 2025, occupation warplanes and artillery launched over 230 attacks on densely populated neighborhoods and displacement shelters, killing 118 Palestinians, including women and children, 72 of them in Gaza City alone.

The Government Media Office condemned the ongoing atrocities as part of Israel’s systematic genocide aimed at erasing civilian life in Gaza. It stated that the strikes reflect Israel’s blatant contempt for international law and global appeals for de-escalation.

The statement held the occupation fully responsible for these massacres and urged the U.S. administration and the international community to take urgent and concrete steps to halt the aggression and uphold the true meaning of a ceasefire.
