Two Children Die of Malnutrition Amid Gaza Blockade

Gaza Herald – Two-and-a-half-month-old Eid Mahmoud Abu Jamma and 13-year-old Ahmed Al-Sharif have both died from severe malnutrition and lack of medical care in southern Gaza.

Eid passed away at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, while Ahmed succumbed to the effects of prolonged food and medicine shortages caused by the ongoing blockade.

Their deaths highlight the extreme humanitarian conditions facing Gaza’s youngest and most vulnerable, as hospitals struggle to treat critical cases amid severe shortages of supplies.

This tragedy is part of a wider pattern of child deaths in Gaza caused by restricted access to food and medical aid. According to the Health Ministry, at least 440 people, including 147 children, have died from starvation or malnutrition since the war began, underscoring the deadly impact of Israel’s blockade on the enclave’s civilian population.
