Gaza Herald – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) warned on Tuesday of the catastrophic consequences of Israel’s six-month ban on its critical aid deliveries to Gaza.
The agency said lifesaving supplies, including food, medicine, shelter materials, and hygiene items, remain blocked by Israeli authorities, leaving Gaza’s civilians to endure worsening hunger, disease, and displacement.
UNRWA stressed that it has the capacity to deliver large-scale aid across the Strip, but the restrictions are strangling relief efforts. “The needs are huge. UNRWA aid saves lives,” the agency declared, urging for the siege to be lifted immediately.
The warning highlights the deepening humanitarian disaster, with international calls growing for an end to the blockade that has left Gaza’s population on the edge of survival.
