On Eve of Eid Holiday, 12 Palestinians Killed in Continued Israeli Attacks on Gaza

Gaza Herald- Eleven Palestinians were killed and others were injured, on Tuesday in Israeli attacks targeting Al-Maghazi refugee camp and western Khan Younis in central and southern Gaza, while a young girl later died from previous wounds, as Israeli ceasefire violations continue across the Strip.

A local source reported that three Palestinians, including a woman, were killed and several others wounded after an Israeli airstrike hit a residential apartment in a building in Gaza City’s Al-Rimal neighborhood Tuesday evening with multiple missiles.

Earlier, another Palestinian was killed in an Israeli strike targeting the chalet area west of Al-Zawaida in central Gaza.

Two more Palestinians were killed and others were injured after an Israeli airstrike targeted a vehicle west of Khan Younis.

Local sources also said Israeli warplanes bombed a group of civilians in Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza earlier Tuesday, killing five Palestinians and wounding several others.

According to the sources, the strike came as Israeli drones intervened to protect collaborators who had attempted to raid homes in the area. When local residents confronted them, Israeli drones targeted the civilians directly.

Meanwhile, the “Radaa Force” announced that, alongside local residents, it confronted groups of collaborators attempting to advance beyond the so-called “Yellow Line” east of central Gaza under heavy Israeli aerial and ground fire cover.

Israeli warplanes also bombed a residential house in Al-Maghazi refugee camp.

Earlier in the day, 15-year-old Fatima Mohammed Abdel Hadi Al-Khatib died from wounds she sustained in a previous Israeli strike targeting the Ghaith camp in Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis.

In Al-Nuseirat Camp 5, massive destruction struck an entire residential block after intense Israeli bombardment overnight. Several homes were completely destroyed while other inhabited houses sustained severe damage, reflecting the escalating scale of attacks and civilian losses.

Witnesses also reported extremely heavy gunfire from Israeli military vehicles stationed east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

Last night, a group of police officers narrowly survived after being targeted by an Israeli drone strike in Khan Younis.

Israeli forces continue violating the ceasefire agreement in Gaza through daily airstrikes, artillery shelling targeting displaced civilians, demolition operations inside the so-called “Yellow Line,” and continued restrictions on the movement of goods, humanitarian aid, and travel.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire took effect on 10 October has risen to 914, alongside 2,747 injuries and 781 recovery cases.

The total death toll from Israel’s assault on Gaza since 7 October 2023 has now reached 72,811 Palestinians killed and 172,855 injured, highlighting the devastating human cost of the ongoing war on the Strip.
