Israeli shelling, gunfire, and demolitions continue in eastern Gaza

Gaza Herald– Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip through airstrikes, artillery shelling, and gunfire, while maintaining the blockade and restricting the entry of goods and humanitarian aid, further worsening the humanitarian crisis.

A local source reported that Israeli military vehicles targeted eastern areas of Khan Younis, while Israeli naval boats opened fire off the coast of Khan Younis. Israeli artillery shelling also targeted western areas of Rafah in southern Gaza.

Israeli military vehicles additionally opened heavy fire east of the al-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City, while Israeli forces carried out demolition operations in the eastern parts of the city.

According to figures released by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the number of people killed since the ceasefire began on October 10, 2025 has risen to 824, with 2,316 injured reported, in addition to 764 bodies recovered from the rubble.

The overall toll from the Israeli offensive since October 7, 2023, has reached approximately 72,601 killed and 172,419 injured, highlighting the massive human cost of the ongoing war on the Gaza Strip.
