Israeli Ceasefire Violations in Gaza Escalate Amid Ongoing Shelling, Rising Civilian Casualties

Gaza Herald – Israeli occupation forces continued to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip for the 204th consecutive day, carrying out artillery shelling and opening fire on multiple areas across the strip.

Artillery strikes repeatedly targeted northwestern Rafah since the early morning hours, while overnight shelling targeted the eastern Al-Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City and the eastern Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip, alongside heavy gunfire from Israeli military vehicles.

In the same context, four Palestinians were killed on Thursday and others were injured as a result of gunfire and airstrikes in various areas, with nine new ceasefire violations recorded in a single day.

According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, the total number of fatalities since the ceasefire took effect on October 11 has risen to approximately 824, with 2,316 injuries and 764 bodies recovered.

Since the beginning of the genocidal war on October 7, 2023, the overall death toll has reached 72,601, with 172,419 injuries, reflecting the continued humanitarian deterioration and field escalation despite the ceasefire agreement.
