For the 178th Day: Israel Escalates Gaza Ceasefire Violations

Gaza Herald – Israeli occupation forces continued their violations of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for the 178th consecutive day on Tuesday, carrying out fresh artillery shelling and live fire across multiple areas of the territory.

A local source reported that Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire east of Gaza City, alongside artillery bombardment targeting eastern areasŘŚ including the Al-Zaitoun neighborhood. Similar shelling was reported east of Khan Younis in the enclave’s southern part.

On Monday evening, 10 Palestinians were killed and dozens were injured after an Israeli strike targeted the eastern area of Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.

Since October 10, Israeli occupation forces have continued breaching the ceasefire agreement through artillery and air strikes, gunfire from military vehicles, and naval attacks, in addition to demolitions of buildings and infrastructure across the Strip.

According to available data, these violations have resulted in the killings of 730 Palestinians and injuries to 1,990 others, while the bodies of 759 victims have been recovered.

The overall toll since the start of the war on October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,309 killed and 172,090 injured, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
