Three Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrike targeting Zeitoun neighborhood, east Gaza

Gaza Herald – Three Palestinians were killed, and others were injured early Monday morning following an Israeli airstrike targeting a group of civilians in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City in the Gaza Strip.

Medical sources reported that the victims were killed and several others wounded, some critically, after Israeli aircraft bombed an area near Al-Shafi’i Mosque in southern Gaza. Local sources identified two of the victims as Ahmad Oweida and Hassan Al-Mallah.

In a separate incident earlier, eight Palestinians were killed in an Israeli strike that targeted civilians near Well 19 in the southwestern Mawasi area of Khan Younis, where two Israeli missiles were fired within a span of approximately 10 minutes. A child was also killed by Israeli gunfire on Salah al-Din Street in Khan Younis.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, 2025, has reached around 704, with more than 1,013 injuries and 756 bodies recovered.

The overall death toll since the start of the war in October 2023 has risen to 72,580, with 172,013 reported injuries.
