Eight Palestinian Infants Survive Life-Threatening Conditions in Gaza During Genocidal War, Return After Treatment in Egypt

Gaza Herald – Eight premature infants at Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza narrowly survived life-threatening conditions during the recent genocidal war and Israeli siege, highlighting the resilience of Palestinian medical staff and the community.

Dr. Muneer Al-Bursh, Director General of the Ministry of Health, explained that fuel shortages had halted incubators, putting the babies’ lives at severe risk. Despite those dire circumstances, doctors and nurses worked tirelessly to keep them alive.

The infants were evacuated to Egypt for urgent, specialized medical care during the height of the genocide, enduring a difficult journey to receive treatment. Now, after successfully stabilizing their health, the babies are returning to Gaza through the Rafah border crossing, accompanied by the medical teams who oversaw their care.

Dr. Al-Bursh emphasized that their return represents more than a medical success; it is a triumph of life over death and a testament to the steadfastness of the Palestinian people.
