633 Palestinians Killed Since Ceasefire, Gaza Records 3,044 Newborns in February

Gaza Herald – The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported on Wednesday that 633 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire was declared on October 11, 2025. During the past 24 hours, hospitals in Gaza received one body and three injured individuals, with some victims still trapped under rubble or lying in the streets as emergency crews remain unable to reach them.

Since the ceasefire, a total of 633 killed, 1,703 injuries, and 753 body recoveries have been documented. The cumulative toll since the start of Israel’s offensive on October 7, 2023, has now risen to 72,117 killed and 171,801 injuries.

Despite Israel’s focus on its war against Iran, which began on February 28 in coordination with the United States, military operations in Gaza continued unabated. Israeli forces carried out daily air and artillery strikes, including demolitions of homes near or behind the so-called “yellow line,” leading to further civilian casualties.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior and National Security reported that 3,044 babies were born in Gaza during February 2026, compared with 183 deaths. Of the newborns, 1,543 were boys (50.69%) and 1,501 girls (49.31%). The civil registration offices in Gaza City recorded 1,213 births, while the office in Khan Yunis registered 446 births during the same period.
