Israeli Growing Ceasefire Violations Confirm Israel’s Impunity in Gaza

Gaza Herald – Over the four months since the Gaza ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, Israeli forces carried out 1,620 violations, the Palestinian Government Media Office reported, resulting in 573 killed and 1,553 injuries. The office documented the violations as deliberate breaches of the ceasefire and its attached humanitarian protocol.

The violations included 560 incidents of gunfire, 79 military incursions into residential areas, 749 airstrikes and targeted attacks, and 232 house demolitions. The casualties included 292 children, women, and elderly, while 99% of all fatalities were civilians.

Another 50 people were arrested, all from residential areas, reflecting a pattern of direct targeting of civilians.

Movement through the Rafah crossing remained severely restricted, with only 225 travelers crossing between February 2-9, 2026, out of the expected 1,600, including 172 arrivals and 26 returns. Humanitarian organizations condemned Israel’s continued interference, describing the restrictions as collective punishment.

Humanitarian aid deliveries were far below agreed levels. Only 31,178 trucks entered Gaza out of 72,000 planned, including 17,945 aid trucks, 12,402 commercial trucks, and just 861 fuel trucks out of an expected 6,000. The daily average was 260 trucks, far short of the 600 per day stipulated in the humanitarian protocol.

Israel also failed to open Rafah fully, withdraw to agreed lines, allow reconstruction equipment, or ensure the entry of medical and shelter supplies. The media office stressed that the violations represented an attempt to enforce subjugation, starvation, and extortion, holding Israel fully responsible for the ongoing humanitarian deterioration and civilian suffering.

The statement called on U.S. President Donald Trump, international guarantors, mediators, and the United Nations to enforce Israel’s commitments, protect civilians, secure a safe flow of aid and fuel, and allow temporary housing and shelter materials to reach Gaza.
