Gaza Herald – The Gaza Health Ministry said on Monday that five Palestinians were killed in the past 24 hours, including two whose bodies were recovered, alongside four injured civilians. The victims were brought to hospitals across the enclave amid ongoing chaos and destruction.
According to the ministry, the cumulative death toll since the October 7, 2023, Israeli onslaught has now reached 71,800 killed and 171,555 wounded. Many others remain trapped under rubble or stranded in streets, with ambulance and civil defense teams unable to reach them due to widespread destruction.
Since the October 11 ceasefire came into effect, Israeli violations have already killed 526 Palestinians and injured 1,447, while 717 bodies of those missing under debris were recovered by rescue teams.
Health officials stressed that the two-year-long campaign of killing, starvation, displacement, and destruction continues unabated, despite international calls and rulings by the International Court of Justice demanding a halt. The systematic attacks, backed by US and European support, have left hundreds of thousands homeless and starving, with entire cities and neighborhoods erased from the map.
The ministry warned that children and women remain the most affected, as Gaza continues to endure catastrophic humanitarian conditions. The figures underscore the scale and persistence of the ongoing genocide, leaving the population in urgent need of relief and protection.
