Gaza Herald – Israeli forces carried out demolitions of residential buildings in Gaza early Wednesday, while artillery and airstrikes hit multiple areas across the northern and southern sectors, marking a continuation of attacks despite the ceasefire agreement.
Local sources reported the military demolished homes east of Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza and shelled areas near Khan Yunis in the south and around Al-Bureij camp in central Gaza. A helicopter later fired on Deir al-Balah, while artillery targeted western Rafah.
On Tuesday, Israeli forces had demolished residential buildings in their zones of control southeast of Khan Yunis, part of repeated strikes against civilian neighborhoods. Hamas reported that during the first 100 days of the ceasefire, 483 Palestinians were killed, including 169 children and 64 women, while 1,294 others were injured, averaging 13 casualties daily.
The group added that Israeli violations numbered 1,298 during the period, including 200 demolitions and bombings of homes and neighborhoods within the so-called “yellow line,” alongside the detention of 50 civilians, including fishermen at sea. Hamas also confirmed ongoing obstacles imposed by Israel on efforts to recover the last Israeli prisoner’s body.
Humanitarian conditions worsened as the Health Ministry reported the death of a six-month-old infant due to severe cold, raising child fatalities this winter to nine. Officials warned of a critical shortage of medicines, including cancer treatments and dialysis supplies, while influenza and other illnesses spread widely amid deteriorating immunity and living conditions.
