Gaza Herald – Israel demolished more than 2,500 homes in the Gaza Strip after the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, according to the Palestinian National Initiative, deepening what it described as a deliberate campaign of destruction.
In a statement issued Monday, the movement said Israeli forces continued large-scale home demolitions despite the declared halt to the war, calling the actions a flagrant violation of international law and a clear breach of the ceasefire agreement.
The initiative said the systematic destruction of homes and infrastructure constituted war crimes against humanity, aimed at entrenching forced displacement and collective punishment against Gaza’s civilian population.
It held the Israeli government fully responsible for the demolitions and accused the international community of complicity through inaction, citing the failure to provide protection for Palestinians or to stop ongoing violations.
The movement called for an independent international investigation committee to hold those responsible accountable, demanded unrestricted entry of humanitarian aid and reconstruction materials, and urged international courts to prosecute Israeli officials for crimes against civilians.
