Ongoing Fuel Crisis Shuts Gaza Vital Services

Gaza Herald- The Director of Al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza has issued an urgent appeal to the international community, warning that critical medical services are being halted due to a complete depletion of fuel supplies.

“We are forced to suspend operations in most hospital departments,” the director said in a public statement, adding that the lack of diesel fuel now directly threatens the closure of the pediatric ward.

Al-Awda Hospital, one of the few still partially functioning under siege conditions, has been relying on limited fuel to power essential equipment and maintain patient care. With fuel reserves now entirely exhausted, the hospital is on the brink of a full shutdown.

The hospital’s director is calling for immediate intervention to prevent further humanitarian catastrophe, stressing that continued service disruption could cost innocent lives, especially among children and vulnerable patients.
